Lt Col Felix L. Sambogna, USAF (ret), Treasurer, Air Commando Association (ACA)

Lt Col Sambogna retired from active duty in 1982. At that time, he had served for four years as Deputy Base Commander, Hurlburt Field FL. In prior assignments, Sambogna served as Chief of Safety, Hurlburt Field; staff officer, AFSOC Headquarters, Eglin AFB; Commander of the 549th TASS, Hurlburt Field; USAF Air Liaison Officer (ALO), 2nd Infantry Division, Camp Casey, Korea; Commander of the 19 TASS, Osan Korea. After a combat tour as an AT-28 pilot in the 56 ACW, NKP, Thailand, Sambogna was an A-37 instructor pilot at England AFB, LA. Other assignments include service as a T-33, T-37, & T-38 instructor pilot in Air Training Command and an F-102 fighter pilot in Japan.

Lt Col Sambogna graduated from Trinity College, Hartford, CT. He completed Squadron Officers Course and Air War College by correspondence/seminar.

Lt Col Sambogna is a Command pilot with over 5500 flying hours. He was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross, Meritorious Service Medal with1 Oak Leaf Cluster, Air Medal with 6 OLCs, and other awards and decorations.
